Towards the Light
There is something powerful about moving towards a place you cannot quite reach yet. Towards the Light captures a lone diver swimming through the depths as sunlight breaks through the surface above, illuminating the path ahead.
Photographed from behind, the diver gradually becomes part of the vast underwater world surrounding them. A trail of bubbles rises towards the surface while the ocean floor disappears softly into the distance, leaving the beautiful contrast between the darkness below and the light above to tell the story.
Presented in monochrome, the absence of colour draws attention to the movement of the water, the rays of sunlight and the sense of scale, creating an image that feels peaceful yet full of possibility.
For me, this piece represents moving forward, trusting the journey and continuing towards the light even when you cannot see exactly where it will lead.
