There is something incredibly peaceful about watching a feather settle onto water. Weightless captures that fleeting moment when something almost impossibly delicate meets the surface without disturbing its stillness.
The feather rests gently against the water while tiny droplets cling to its surface and soft ripples travel outwards around it. In monochrome, the smallest details become the focus, from the fine strands of the feather to the reflections dancing across the water beneath it.
The contrast between the delicate feather and the dark, fluid surface gives the photograph a sense of calm and simplicity while the reflection adds another layer of depth.
For me, this piece represents stillness, freedom and the beauty of letting go rather than fighting against the current.
